Connectivity
- Digital Internet Circuits --Using IBS' sonnet network, our customers can transfer voice, video and data at speeds ranging from 128 Kbps to 45 Mbps (DS-3). These speeds allow greater sustained throughput and greater capacity to carry information in shorter transmission times by means of the leading protocols in packet encapsulation, switching and BGP4 static routing.
- Standard Dedicated DS1 and DS3 Connections -- These are standard, dedicated connections to the Internet.
- Tiered DS1 and DS3 Connections -- Internet Business Services' tiered connections provide you with a number of reliable and cost-effective options to meet your needs. Tiered connections are for customers who have a good idea of how much bandwidth they need or who want to limit their bandwidth to a specific level.
- Burstable DS1 and DS3 Connections -- Our "burstable" service offers you full fiber connections to the Internet accessible at any time. Internet Business Services uses a metering software that monitors all of our customers bandwidth and measures their average "sustained usage rate" at random periods. Therefore, we only charge you for the sustained usage rate incurred. Burstable billing is much more flexible for those who do not know how much bandwidth they will need or for those who need greater bandwidth at "peak" times.
- Multiple Access to the Internet -- Internet Business Services' network features multiple connections to the primary national networks which represent 90% of the Internet. These connections are private to the other carriers, and Internet Business Services buys, maintains and monitors these to ensure no bottleneck will occur on our end. This design provides you with faster routing to all addresses on the Internet with significantly lower packet loss. The multi-network access distinguishes Internet Business Services from other network companies who are solely reliant upon one carrier and must funnel into the congested metropolitan area exchanges (MAEs) and network access points (NAPs) in order to switch carriers.
- Value-Added; The Bottom Line -- The results of multiple packet traces conducted by external engineers have repeatedly shown that certain routing packets moved much more quickly than others along different networks. Because our routers have access to all the primary national networks, they share each others information and automatically record and utilize the fastest route along the most efficient network for any and every data packet. Since we provide a managed network with multiple access to other private networks, we can monitor data flow and engineer the optimal utilization of each network in any application necessary, sending your traffic onto the requested network in the shortest time possible.
